Feb 19th Stef came back to California for a much needed 2 week visit. We were able to pick colors for the house, take care of other home details and get our taxes in order. But more importantly we had great weather and powder snow for both our weekends up at Tahoe. The last day there we also managed to join 1000 other XC skiers at the Great Race from Tahoe to Truckee . It was the 3rd year we have done the event and I'm sure it wasn't our last! Stef finished in 2:30, Jeff in 3:30 and I finished 1:52. Not bad considering it was only our 3rd time on XC skis this season. By the way, the winner did it this year in a smokin' 1:13 and the top women came in 7th overall and only 5 minute behind!

We finished our day with a great sushi dinner at Java Sushi in Truckee and a drive home back to the bay area. We were both pretty tired last night but it was a day to remember.Today at noon I dropped Stef at the Airport. :( I was sad to see her go but we now know we are in the 4th quarter of this long distance relationship game. Can't wait till we are again settled down and back in California!
